# Voice broadcasting

In short

Voice broadcasting is a phone outreach method that sends the same pre-recorded message to many phone numbers at once. The system dials the list, and recipients hear the recording when they answer or on their voicemail.

It trades personalization for reach. In B2B sales it is rarely a primary channel, because one-to-one calls and email usually fit complex buying decisions better.

## How voice broadcasting works

You upload a contact list and a recorded message, set the calling window, and the platform places the calls automatically. Some tools let recipients press a key to speak to someone, request a callback, or opt out.

No rep is on each call. That is what makes it scalable and also what makes it risky if the message is irrelevant.

---

## Legal and compliance basics

Automated and pre-recorded calls are regulated in many countries, often with consent requirements, calling-hour limits, caller identification rules, and opt-out obligations. Rules differ by region, and by whether the number is a mobile or a business line. Check the rules for every market before running a campaign. This is general information, not legal advice.

---

## When it makes sense in B2B

* **Event reminders:** Notifying registered attendees about a webinar or session.
* **Existing customers:** Service notices or renewal reminders to people who agreed to receive them.
* **Opted-in lists:** Contacts who explicitly asked for phone updates.

---

## When to avoid it

* Cold prospecting to numbers that never gave consent.
* Selling a complex product that needs a conversation.
* Markets where automated calls require prior consent you do not have.
* Targeting senior buyers who rarely respond to recordings.

---

## Voice broadcasting vs. voicemail drop

Voice broadcasting sends a recording to a whole list automatically. A voicemail drop is triggered by a rep on a call they placed, to leave a recorded message without waiting for the beep. The drop stays inside a rep-led workflow.

---

## Example

Say a company runs a webinar and 400 people registered. A short recorded reminder the day before, sent only to registrants who gave a phone number and agreed to calls, is a reasonable use. Sending the same recording to a purchased list of strangers is not.

## Voice broadcasting FAQs

**What is voice broadcasting?**

Voice broadcasting is a phone outreach method that automatically sends one pre-recorded message to many phone numbers at once. Recipients hear the recording when they answer or on voicemail, with no live rep on the call.

**Is voice broadcasting legal for B2B sales?**

It depends on the country, the type of number, and whether you have consent. Many regions regulate automated or pre-recorded calls. Check local rules for each market before using it. This is general information, not legal advice.

**What is the difference between voice broadcasting and a voicemail drop?**

Voice broadcasting automatically sends a recording to a whole list. A voicemail drop lets a rep who is already calling leave a pre-recorded message with one click, skipping the wait for the beep, so it stays part of manual calling.

**Does voice broadcasting work for cold outreach?**

Rarely. Cold B2B buyers usually respond better to relevant, personalized messages, and automated calls may need prior consent. It fits better for reminders and notices to contacts who already opted in to phone updates.
